Easy to get merchant accounts with rates as low as 2.25%.
Having your own merchant account can save you 12% or 13%.

National Card Systems

National card systems will let you accept not only the 4 major credit cards,
but also checks by phone/web and check guarantee cards.
They mention that you don't have to have perfect credit to get a merchant account through them.

Using THEIR merchant account

Avoid huge Visa fees with Glo-Bill

While all of the other major billign companies are charging an application fee of $750 and an anuual fee of $375,
Glo-Bill has announced that their clients will not have to pay these new fees. While they've asked that the details
of their arrangement be kept confidential, and it remains to be seen whether or not Visa will make new rules that
do effect Glo-Bill, we are suggesting that all webmasters at least go ahead and set up a Glo-Bill account as a
secondary or backup processor. Glo-Bill charges no set up fees or monthly fees, so you have nothing to lose and
everything to gain. Glo-Bill does 900 number and check billing as well, and has a MULTI-LEVEL partner program built in.
The multi-level aspect is important - it means you can pay people a small commission for signing up webmasters.
That's important because sites like this one get a lot of webmasters looking for partnership programs and if you
pay a referal for getting webmasters to sign up sites like this one tend to promote your program much more.
(Although we try to remain objective here.) Glo-Bill is very similar to iBill, CCBIll, etc. in other respects.
Their fee is slightly higher, at 15.9%.

Verotel

Cost is sliding scale, competitive with other services.
A reseller or banner partner program is built into their system.

EuroDebit

EuroDebit can be added along with a regular CC processor for European customers who wish to pay via debit card or dialer. They no longer charge a setup fee. They charge 12.95% for debit card processing.

Token Systems

You might want to take a look at adding them to your site so those customers who have
bought tokens can pay you easily which may get you a few more sales. You can also use them
for very small charges (cents) that other companies won't process. They do take 40% of the
gross charge, so I wouldn't use them as my main payment processors for charges of several
dollars or more per sale.

iBill

Probably the oldest and most popular online credit card processing company,
they have lots of options to choose from. If you don't have a merchant account,
they will charge you 15% to do all the processing. They are pretty easy to set up
and provide pretty good stats / reporting. I used them for a long time.

Web-Charge

This company does the same type of thing as ibill, including handling recurring
billing, and issuing passwords. Their processing fee is 15%. We haven't
used them so we would appretiate webmaster feed back about them.

Easy Pay

This is used for things like streaming video where you want to do a pay per view or time limited
service. The software allows the user to access your site for a specified time period only. The
easiest way I know of to charge per minute for a sex show or something similar. They do charge
40% though, so I would only use them for those things that require the time limits.

AVS Sytems

For your primary entrance charge we highly recommend you look at our comparison of the major
adult verification systems. We recommend Adult Checkspecifically and have found that it tends to
make more money than the others which pay higher commisions but result in fewer sales.

Other types of payment systems

PayPal System

You get paid $5.00 for every partner you refer.
You (or the customer) can bill and send money. An online credit account secured
by a credit card or bank account. The good feature of this is that it is useable
for more than adult sites, thus making it more marketable for clients. You can use
it for a variety of services, otherwise, it really dosen't seem instant enough
for adult sites to me, besides being more of a banner program to generate cash that way.
Best for online auctions.

Below is an overview of the features.
